P-TEX significantly outperforms several types of protective fabrics used against cuts, including para-aramid. The unparalleled cut-resistance performance of our fabrics is the result of the combination of polyarylate fiber and glass fiber. Depending on the amount of fiber and weaving method, we are able to provide different levels of cut-resistance to suit the level of threat and other operational requirements (weight, flexibility, respirability etc.)

Besides its cut-resistance, P-TEX ensures high flame retardancy, comparable to fireproof clothing material. P-TEX is highly heat-resistant, significantly limiting melt dripping and ignition even at temperatures as high as 280°C. Its flame-resistance and self-extinguishing properties therefore allow an added layer of protection to the operator.
P-TEX is the only fabric capable of ensuring this high level of cut and fire-resistance.
